IF- Legendary

I feel validated as an artist that Ma Bella Luna made Mimi very happy. And it's such a humbling experience that in my intention to please, something actually pleasant came out of me. I've lost count of the number of hours or the sleepless nights I spent in making her Dreamworks moment happen. I also prayed hard that Mimi will like it and anxiously waited for the right time to show it to her.

And it was all worth it! I couldn't be happier with all the inspiring words you, my friends, fellow artists and visitors have left in this humble blog of mine. To you who have added Ma Bella Luna to your favorites and to the lady who put it in her iPod's screen, thank you! I don't know if I can outdraw her but I promised myself that I'd give everything I could to each artwork that follows.

And here's a special preview of the latest drawing I made for a very unexpected collaboration that I shall be revealing in coming weeks. I bet those cuckoos they're talking about at Renee's can't even push this out its nest. Oh I can't wait for this legendary creature to hatch!

By the way, I'm so happy that I've already been included in the IllustrationMundo illustrator database. Thank you Nate! And to those who have facebook accounts, please add my page where these entries are also exported to.

  2. Oh, what is IN there, lying in all that beautiful straw??? I'm dying to find out. Such a big egg, too...I have the urge to cover it in washi. But I think that little runt egg in the background has to be my favorite. :)

You keep surprising me with your increasingly beautiful drawings. One of these days, I'm going to visit your exhibition at the MoMA in NYC, and I'll nudge the person next to me and say, "See this artist? I knew him. He's a real sweetheart."

  7. Oh, nooooo. Please don't tell me it's a cuckoo. I cannot favor an egg with a homicidal creature incubating in it. Tell me it's a robin's egg. They are small and lovely. And blue.

  8. Haha! I am just joking my dear Bella. But it's definitely not a robin coz it's color purple!;)

  15. As long as you guys don't expect me to go topless. As it is I always have to go braless. If I went topless you would see, are you ready for the visuals?

The left breast hanging down to my waist, the right one with the inflammatory breast cancer about 3 inches shorter than the other and harder and all marked up and above that you would see scars from radiation burns and then my buddha belly. (Bella, I put buddha bella at first.)

But if I have to I am fine I will go with the flow.

    Love Renee
